Bigfoot died for your sins. Hope y’all are happy!
Pretty much done now. Overall I’m really please with how it came out. Building in a sim with such a large crater and steep walls was a challenge. There’s a few spots on the left of the forest (against the sim’s east edge) that’s thinner than I’d like but given my space limitations, it works ok. Most of it is designed to keep your eye focused ahead (south) or to your right (going in to the woods, southwest) thanks to the narrow border space I had to work with.
Here’s the view from the bridge on the west side of the sim so you can see how it has changed the sim’s look and made it why more interesting.
Next, it was a cold foggy morning, the wind rattled through the trees and brought a sense of foreboding to your spine…
The trail meanders through the woods and eventually you come across a peaceful pond.
Further in we come across an odd structure. Is it a hill? Ruins? Who knows but it awaits you in the very heart of the depths of THE FOREST! dun dun DUN!
Well, I had a lot of suggestions for trees to do my forest with. Saw many lovely trees to select from. The challenge was to find copy/mod at a decent price. The big and most important challenge was to find trees that worked on the rather steep slops of the meteor lake. I picked out a set I liked. Bought a couple companion pieces, a pond and a tree tunnel. I’ve not placed the tunnel yet and I need to take a break and then go back in on what I have done and clean it up some. Remove scripts, maybe thing a few trees out. Only time will tell if I do need to prune.
Trying a new avenue for building. Having fun in it although I’m slow to experiment and learn the tools. That said, at least I’ve built to scale ;). The front view of my claim.
Side view of the bay window.
Inside, my table, 2 chairs, couch and working fireplace.
The crafty side of the house 😉 Also you can see just how much light is bleeding through one cube of stone. I’ll remedy that much later on.
The Hidden Lair of Crafting!
As you can see, pretty close to proper scale for the avies. I tend to start out small and simple and go from there. I’m much less likely to get frustrated and quit.
After many months of talks, it has been decided that effective today, that members of Team Kitten, Team Pwnie and the Kitten Liberation Front shall unite in the name of science and knowledge to explore the mysteries of the second world.
Our goal is to share our experiences and findings concerning the myths and legends that are inherent in all human cultures.
We will be using a combination of repurposed military equipment (the unknown can be quite dangerous!) and technology so cutting edge new, it hasn’t been named yet. Our crew is made up of dedicated volunteers who risk their lives and sanity braving the dangers that lurk in the shadows.
Caete Chevalier, expedition leader. She is the one who changed the team’s name from Team Bigfoot Hunter Tracker Team Of Awesomeness to Team Chevalier. Sadly Team Awesome was already in use. Rumoured to be ex KLF, this Scientist Lady of Science brings years of science to the team. Also she brings most of the equipment and maintains the base of operations.
Keitlynn Ceawlin, pilot, test subject, bait. She is Beaker to Caete’s Honeydew. A slightly insane catgirl (aren’t they all?) who is leader of Team Pwnie. She can usually be bribed into dangerous doings with a stuffed pony. Despite her dangerous job skill set, she always seems to come through more or less intact.
Loadmaster Mittens, vehicle specialist. He is a founding member of Team Kitten and is the brains behind planning and collecting all the necessary equipment for the expeditions. No one handles planning like he does.
